Meet Karen

Picture
Karen Tapp is a customer service representative at Hancock Bank & Trust Company. Having formerly been an entrepreneur in Madisonville, she has a passion for supporting local businesses by brainstorming new ideas for our community, finding connections between our neighbors and fostering the strength of collaboration.

Karen was born in Madisonville, educated in Madisonville, works in Madisonville, married and is raising her children in Madisonville. Her goal is do her part in helping keep Madisonville “The Best Town on Earth” through being an active member of Hopkins County’s Entrepreneurship Community.

Karen’s favorite thing about our Entrepreneurship Community is that she knows she shares this passion and goal with others and together great things are happening!

If you know Karen, you know she is a devoted wife and a totally cool mom.  When she is not supporting local business and tending to the financial masses, Karen loves reading any and all genres, plus attempts at some quirky writing herself. She is a grape-loving shop-a-holic who laughs at corny jokes, appreciates a good cookie and believes that the key to effective leadership is service.
